Uby Muñoz Lic. AC. MBAcC (BSS.Dip)
Uby is the Director of Fertility Awakenings, you'll first speak with her at your initial telephone consultation. She'll be leading the Qi-Gong class each morning, and giving lectures on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Nutrition.
Uby takes an integrative approach to fertility treatment using Traditional Chinese Medicine to naturally enhance fertility as well as support Assisted Fertility Treatments. She has over twenty years of clinical experience and has helped numerous couples conceive healthy babies when nothing else worked.
Uby has been studying and practising Traditional Chinese Medicine since the 1970s. She studied shiatsu at the British School of Shiatsu-Do and acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.
Uby taught at the School of Five Element Acupuncture and the London College of Traditional Acupuncture.
"In Traditional Chinese Medicine we treat the whole patient, considering the root causes affecting a patient's reproductive wellness and their overall wellbeing. Chinese medicine gives me the tools to diagnosis each patient’s unique pattern of imbalance and to work with them to correct those imbalances and foster true healing of the mind, body and spirit."
As with all the retreat's practioners, Uby is firmly committed to her professional development in order to ensure that she brings the most up-to-date and broad spectrum of knowledge to her clients.

Liz Dunphy BSc, M Ed, (CIPD Assoc)
Liz will be running your Emotional Freedom Technique workshops, and facilitating some of the group events. She is just one of the team who will be on hand throughout the retreats to answer questions and offer support, and is always ready to have a good chat about life!
Liz Dunphy studied Psychology in her mid twenties and went on to become an academic researcher in the same University (Leeds, UK). Her personal and professional interests in adult development have led her to work in the Staff Development Department of University of Bradford for over six years. Here she delivered interpersonal and management skills training and coaching to staff (such as Assertiveness, Group Facilitation, Communication Skills) and facilitated a huge number of group events. She also has a Masters of Education in Training & Development, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Coaching.
In the last two years Liz has brought a new emphasis to her coaching and training work, using skills, such as Emotional Freedom Technique for the healing of emotional blocks, facilitation of Byron Katie's “The Work” for challenging cognitive beliefs, and Quantum Touch Healing for re-balancing with clients. She ran a series of Emotional Freedom Technique workshops for students suffering from student-related problems such as home-sickness and exam-stress which were very successful. Liz has also run Introductory Workshops on Emotional Freedom Technique for her local community in Yorkshire, UK, and here in Barcelona.
Liz's work draws on the wisdom of a variety of psychological and spiritual schools such as Gestalt Psychology, Transactional Analysis and Buddhism.
She brings two consistent values to her work - authenticity and respect. In practice, this means that Liz believes that being open to and lovingly accepting our current situation is the first step to change while resistance and denial only act to delay the healing journey. Secondly, she believes that her clients themselves hold the key to their own healing, growth and learning. The role of health practitioners is to empower the journey to health by giving of themselves, providing love, skills and information, in order to allow clients' own healing wisdom to emerge.
"Since working with Liz using EFT over the phone, my condition has definitely improved. She picked up on issues that I wouldn't have thought of on my own, which I believe are the deeper roots of my problem, giving me a great deal more insight into my situation. I thought that the practice was very worthwhile and would highly recommend it." - Helen

She obtained her White Belt Certification during the second Nia Intensive Training hosted in Montreal and she went back to Spain with a strong desire to teach and share the Nia Technique wisdom.
